Peter Durkin
Detroit, Michigan
When many people hear the name Peter Durkin they associate it with Tropheus. Peter is probably the top Tropheus breeder in the country. Not only does he breed various types of Tropheus, but he turns them out in staggering large quantities.

The Tropheus at Peter's place are stunning. He has a great line of Tropheus duboisi, Tropheus moori "Bemba" and Tropheus sp. "ikola". One of the coolest Tropheus Peter had was a longfin Tropheus he was working on. I'd never seen one like it before. See a picture of it in the web gallery below.
Peter is also selling and breeding many South American cichlids. His fishroom is full of various Geophagus, Plecos, and Apistogramma. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get many quality pics of his South American fish.
Other than Tropheus and South Americans Peter has various mbuna, haps, peacocks, Lamprologus, and featherfins in some of his other tanks, but his fishroom is mostly Tropheus and Geophagus . They to are stunning in color.
