About the Author

My name is Sam Borstein. I'm 18 years old and currently and am a biology student at California State University-Sacramento.  I'm a member of the Greater Chicago Cichlid Association (GCCA), and have currently bred over 100 species of cichlids and other fish. To learn about the cichlids and fish I have experience with and information on how to keep and breed them, look at the species profiles section. Check it frequently as there will always be new species and updates.

• I have had 4 articles published by the GCCA, and have written some of their "Fish of the Month" articles.
• ACA's Buntbarsche Bulletin December 2007- article on Neetroplus nematopus.
• 2007 GCCA Aquarist of the Year.
